Wow, I looked at my journal and notice I hadn't made a new entry in forever !! ha ha ha .. We have been so very busy these last months. Our band is playing nearly every weekend ... We are still in the studion workin on the CD .. Our lead singer Mark, had to quit the band for personal reasons, so we took a few steps backwards in our CD .... which kinda hurt .. but we are overcoming !


I am personally very busy as well, as I have a new project going on right now, I can't say much about it right now, for we are still a little while before launch .. but I will come by and tell you all about it as soon as I can ...

I miss all of you and hope you are all doing well !

Ronnie, I will try to get by and listen to the new stuff, just as soon as I get some free time ..

Jen, I hope your trip (if it happens) is as wonderful as the last one was !!

Been a While since I updated my journal .. I had a few and decided I would do so !

We have been very busy with the band thang .. we are playing out alot and we are in the studio working on our upcoming CD .. woo hooo ... I hope to have a single to release in the coming months for everyone to hear ..

I miss you all most especially Millaman and Jennae !! I hope everyone is doing great ..

Just a few personal things .. My Daughter Ashley played basketball this season .. she is 9 .. anyway .. she was the post (Center) .. she will make a great one as she is sooo tall .. lol.. they made it to the playoffs.. I was so proud of her ..

Tiffany, went to solo and ensemble with her Trombone and received a 2 .. which is a great score !! I am very proud of her ..

anyway .. ya'll take care of yourselves .. Ronnie .. I will get to your tunes as soon as I can man .. this was a hit and run tonight .. we just got home and I wanted to check in !!

Well, the band is coming along great we are practicin our bootays off !! ha ha ha ha.. we will be where we need to be in a fraction of the time it took the first time around .. it makes a huge difference when everyone is on the same page ..

I have started a new project with a group of people online ... something new and different .. I am very excited about the possibilities that could arise .. I haven't vbeen this excited about a project since the BEGINNING of 1sound.com when Rod U asked me to be a partner .. ha ha ha ... man what a joke that ended up being ..

Halloween weekend started out a blast ... we had soo much fun Friday night .. the costumes were hilarious !! ha ha ha

Saturday night was a total wash .. the owner of the club got in a huge fight, ran off all the customers .. and then kicked us out !! lmfaooo

it was quite the fiasco ..

We have practice tomorrow night .. it is amazing how quick everything is coming together .... it took us over a year with the other group and this one has been together just going on 3 weeks and we are already sounding so good !! not to mention there is so much chemistry there .. and everyone is on the same page ... completely !! it is wonderful !!

The weekend went prety good .. although .. the hired gun we brought in to play with us .. well .. he stiffed us on a 25.00 bar tab AND .. he stole a brand new neon light that the club owner had just purchased FRIDAY !!! ughzz... to say the least .. We scratched his name from our book and will never call him to fill in again ...

Mark is awesome .. he works the crowd so well . I am very proud to be standing next to him on stage ... I am comfortable ... it has been a long time since I have felt that way on stage ... well except when it is with Randal ..

We are playing again this weekend for Halloween .. and we are really excited... it will be a blast .. I really like this group of musicians we have .. they are all laid back and FUNNNNN .. whooop!!

We practiced last night ... and practice went very well .. I think we are going to be back to where we were in no time ...

Well, I am a nervouse wreck .. lol.. This weekend we are playing a gig that was made before the old band broke up .. and our NEW lead singer cant be there ... so we hired this other guy to sit in with us .. and he doesn't like set lists and we do not know if he knows all our material .. ughz !! ha ha ha .. I am sure it will be fine .. but I am still a nervous wreck ..

There are soo many ups and downs to managing a band .. lol.. some things are very easy and come naturally and then other things are soooo out ther eand scary as hell .. lol..

Anyways.. I will let ya'll know how it went of course on Monday !! Keep your fingers crossed would ya !! lmaoo

OK.. Here is the story .. So, We get the big gig, the one we had wanted for sooo long, We play the gig it goes fantastic ... Then .. Two days later, The ceiling falls out, the band breaks up, Randal and I were devestated, hurt, and totally pissed off. See 2 months earlier we hired this Bass player Named Mark, We all really liked him and thought he would be a good match for the band .. then it started, he left practice 3 times in a tizzy, upset about stupid crap, then the behind the back shit started, talking shit to different band members and the boil starts to fester, and it exploded on Tuesday, October 7th. Now, I am not going to lay all the blame on the boil, because there ahd been some underlying stuff going on for a while, just the nature of the beast, we musician types are a moody bunch, but yanno, it wasn't bad stuff and we just dealt with it and let it go.. So, after Tim(Lead Singer) Joe(lead Guitar) Rita(Drums) and Mark(Boil) Quit the band... we wre going to quit music because it was bad ! But our Stel guitar Player Phyl talked us into continuing.. so in 3 days time We hired a New Singer (Mark Little) a new Bass Player (Dave Cobb) and New Lead guitar(Allan) Who BTW is incredible and Wildfire lives on .. we are continuing with all the gigs we already had booked for the year .. and we are moving on ..

What did I learn from this experience? First and foremost.. Democratic Bands DO NOT WORK ! .. 1 person needs to run the band with input from the others ... Secondly, ALWAYS make your intentions known and make sure you are all on the SAME page when you start .. ok, I thought we did this, but I guess I was wrong .. because we waisted over a year with a group who never had intentions to do ORIGINAL material .. they want to just do covers . ha ha ha ha ... whatever .. lol.. they have continued on with their little group and we wish them all luck with it .. but, we want to grow and become an original band, IMO that is the only way you can grow ..

I hope this experience can help someone learn from my mistakes . ha ha ha

Man talk about High ... there is no drug on earth that could give my band the high we are experiencing after this weekend...

Friday night the club was packed .. they had two birthday parties in there and oh man did they have a good time .. this one kid who was celebrating his birthday .. well lets just say that the girls basicall undressed him .. and not with their eyes .. they tore the back side of his pants off... he looked like he was wearing chaps without jeans !! ha ha ha ... alhtough I might add .. he had a nice tushy ! ha ha ha

Saturday night we competed with the fair and rodeo opening so it wasn't quite as busy .. ut we still had a great time ..

Playing at a big club like that is soo different then the smaller ones .. at the smaller clubs like End of the Trail(which is our homebase) are so personal .. bigger clubs seem more like a job .. if you can get my meaning on that .. not that it wasn't a blast cause it was .. it just wasn't as personal .. lol

anyway .. We rocked as usual !! and the owner asked us to come back .. possibly next month .. she is supposed to call me this week to discuss it ... but you know how club owners are ! ha ha ha ha

Our Next date is the 17th of this month at a litle place in Galveston .. on the water .. we are excited .. the place is called Big Daddy's !! hehehe

Well, Our gig this weekend was fantastic .. Saturday night the club was absolutely packed ! It was so awesome ..

The band is really starting to get totally comfortable with everything it seems .. we even added 5 new songs to the set list which we only practiced on together one time .. it is amazing to me how after you play together for a period of time, you don't need to really "work" on things like you do in the beginning, it just kind of happens..

Tim was amazing, his stage presence has tripled since we started gigging .. I am such awe of my brother, he is an incredible vocal talent .. Joe, our lead guitar player had the crowd going wild with his antics on stage .. he is such a showboat .. and Phyl, our steel player .. all I can say is WOW .. and of course I can't leave Rita out, our Drummer ... she is always amazing ...

Also, Last night we got a phone call from one of the top night clubs in the area, one which I have been trying to get us booked into for months, they had a band cancel on them at the last minute, and we got the gig, next weekend .. it is the highest paying gig we have sealed yet .. not too mention, it will be the biggest crowd we will have played in front of as well ..
